Convicted Child Predator Flees Florida Arrested In Pinal County

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Gang and Habitual Offender’s Strike Team (GHOST) was asked to assist a Florida Department of Corrections Probation Officer in finding Jack Iams after he fled the state. Iams was convicted of Child Abuse, Intentional Child Abuse, and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior with a Minor after having sex with a 14-year-old girl. Iams was currently on parole and was told not to leave the state.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered Iams was in Gold Canyon. GHOST was able to find Iams and quickly arrested him.

“The reason why I created the GHOST squad is so we would have a team dedicated to tracking and arresting some of our most dangerous and most wanted criminals. They have assisted agencies across Arizona and the nation. The team is also dedicated to saturating troubled areas in an effort to keep those communities safer,” said Sheriff Mark Lamb.

Iams is currently being held without bond and is waiting to be extradited to Florida.
