Green Valley Fire District personnel responded to an accident on Interstate 19 around 12:30 a.m. on Friday in which a vehicle travelling south was rear-ended and went off the overpass, landing on Continental Road.
A Green Valley Fire District spokesman said the victim needed to be extricated but did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle declined to be treated. A third driver went off the interstate trying to avoid the first crash and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
