
On November 15, 2017, at approximately 6:45 p.m., members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Mario Jesus Dorame for the murder of 52-year-old Maria Escobedo.
Dorame was taken into custody with the assistance of Tucson Police Officers from Operations Division Midtown. After speaking with Homicide Detectives, he was booked into the Pima County Jail on his felony arrest warrant for First Degree Murder.
On October 1, 2017, around 4:45 p.m., Tucson Police officers responded to a report of a check welfare in the 5500 block of S. Tyndall Ave. Officers learned that Ms. Escobedo’s family members had not heard from her and believed her to be associated to the residence. Prior to arrival, a family member entered the home and found her deceased.
