Sierra Vista Police Seek Information Regarding Vehicle Arson

The Sierra Vista Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance with an investigation into a vehicle arson that occurred in the parking lot of a bar located in the 200 block of Bartow Drive last week.

Sierra Vista Police Department (SVPD) officers responded to investigate the incident at 6:39 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. They interviewed witnesses and obtained video surveillance footage that showed the vehicle fire was human caused. The department is looking for a white man, possibly between the age of 50 and 70 years old, who was seen pouring a liquid, believed to be gasoline, on a vehicle and then lighting it on fire.

The suspect was seen leaving the scene in a gray pickup truck with a silver colored roll bar attached to its bed. The suspect is known to frequent Linda’s Lounge and goes by the first name of “Scott.” Sierra Vista Fire & Medical Services is assisting with the vehicle arson investigation.
