Former East Valley Institute Of Technology Teacher Indicted For Theft, Misuse of Public Monies

Earlier this year, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office informed the Office of Auditor General of alleged misuse of public monies by Steven Grosz, an East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) teacher.

The Auditor General’s investigation revealed that from February through May 2013, Grosz may have embezzled $3,750 of public monies that should have been used to support EVIT’s radio station operations. Grosz also altered two financial reports he submitted to EVIT officials during their inquiry of his alleged misuse of EVIT monies.

On November 6, 2017, an Arizona State Grand Jury indicted Grosz on four felony counts of theft, misuse of public monies, and forgery.
