Idiot Arrested After Advertising Stolen Property On Facebook

On December 10, 2017, a Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to meet with a theft victim who reported that while reviewing local Facebook classified ads, he noticed a pair of 1950’s step side fenders for a truck posted for sale by 38-year-old Joshua Vidrine of Prescott Valley. The fenders looked like a pair he owned and he eventually verified the fenders were missing from his property.

Deputies reviewed the ad and identified Vidrine as the person posting the fenders for sale. It was determined Vidrine was hired by the victim’s property management company for clean-up on his property, but at no time did Vidrine have permission to enter a fenced and locked area where the fenders were stored.

Deputies continued their investigation and developed cause to obtain a search warrant for Vidrine’s home in the 7900 block of Spanish Moss Lane, Prescott Valley. On December 12, 2017, around 6:30 a.m., deputies and detectives served the warrant and recovered the stolen fenders along with other stolen items belonging to the victim.

Vidrine was interviewed and admitted stealing items from the victim’s property.

Vidrine was charged with Burglary, Theft and Trafficking in Stolen Property and booked into the Camp Verde Detention Center. He remains in-custody on a $1000 bond.
