In the early afternoon of Tuesday, January 16, 59-year-old Elizabeth Ann Ramirez called 911 to report that she had strangled her mother. Officers were sent to the mother’s residence at 5042 West Juniper Way. When they arrived, officers contacted Ramirez who led them to the body of an 80-year-old female. Ramirez was taken into custody a short time later.
Investigators confirmed the victim is the suspect’s mother.
Ramirez was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on one count of 2nd Degree Murder.
