The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is warning Sun City and Sun City West resident of faulty golf cart seatbelts.
From 2008 through 2016, the Sun City and Sun City West Posses conducted a Community Safety Program involving the installation of seatbelts on golf carts within those communities. The Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a potential safety concern for the continued use of the seatbelts.
The Sheriff’s Office is taking the necessary steps to notify all possible recipients of the safety concerns and recommends that the use of the seatbelts be immediately discontinued.
Arrangements have been made to have the seatbelts removed at no cost to you at the following locations:
