McCain Might Return To Senate By Summer

Since before the Christmas break, Sen. John McCain has not be representing his constituents in Washington DC. On Tuesday, those constituents learned that they may not have representation until at least the summer.

In an interview on KTAR-FM’s Mac & Gaydos program, McCain’s daughter Meghan delivered the bad news.

“I wish I had an exact date, but I just don’t,” said Meghan McCain. “I am very cautiously optimistic about the summer.”

McCain, who is fighting an aggressive form of brain cancer at the age of 81 was hospitalized in December. Since then, he has not returned to the Capitol, and images of him reveal a man who appears to be wasting away.

Contrary to appearances, Meghan claimed her father is “doing really good.”

Just last week, McCain’s wife Cindy tweeted that her husband “is doing fine and has no intention of resigning!”

  1. the date time line of – hold the seat for election 2018 – vs – appoint the next Senator giving that new person a bye from the election until 2020 is fast approaching – his successor then an appointment by the governor vs being elected by the people. I’m not familiar with this process in detail, is this true? Is this the end game of the house of Cain? Is this why they are keeping him waiting out death without retirement? So they can place his successor, the new proxy Mc. I’m sure one of you folks will have this detail.

  2. Yea, little Johnnie will be all better in the summer, right Meghan? Thought that McCain has a very aggressive form of cancer and you don’t get better over a long period of time, but then this is the story coming out of the McCain camp. Can I call BS.

It is a sad commentary on Senator McCain that he refuses to do the right thing. But then it has always been about John McCain Megan’s statement “I wish I had an exact date, but I just don’t,” said Meghan McCain. “I am very cautiously optimistic about the summer.” would have more weight if she had an MD after her name

There should be no doubt that he will return to the capital, and when he does it’ll be to lay in state.
The sad truth is the “maverick” of the Senate is currently little more then a tired old glue horse waiting for the last round up. His days of glory are long gone, he’s little more then a second hand lion now who can’t even roar.
There is no shame or dishonor in death, but McCain is showing us there’s plenty of shame and dishonor in how we live as we are dying. His self absorbed importance is over shadowing his judgement. Those afflicted with life threatening illnesses should focus on the footprints we behind, Johnny instead is only leaving drag marks as he refuses to do what’s best for the state he claims to represent.
The McCain Cornville compound must feel like Jonestown, everyone knows it’s wrong, but they’ll still drink the kool-aid anyway. I’m assuming his family doesn’t doesn’t get it. They are lying to each other, and to us.
Rest in peace John, thank you for your service.
Resign and spend your remaining days with your family.

  9. Thank you for your service to our country Senator McCain. It is time to retire and keep the best interests of the state of Arizona in mind. You’ve done your part, now please step aside.

  10. I hope he isn’t collecting his salary! That would be adding insult to injury: taxpayers subsidizing no representation.
