Arrests Made In Cochise County Meth Trafficking Case

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office concluded a six month investigation into a local Methamphetamine drug trafficking case.

On Monday April 16, 2018, Cochise County Sheriff’s Office detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Amanda Davis for a civil traffic violation at E. Fry Blvd. and S. Lenzner Ave. in Sierra Vista

During the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office Canine checked the exterior of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted and Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with Methamphetamine sales was located.

In the evening hours, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Peterson St., Sierra Vista, where Joshua Grant was arrested.

According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, seizures of Methamphetamine (approximately 3 ounces), Marijuana, several items of drug paraphernalia, items consistent with Methamphetamine sales and U.S. Currency was located. The residence was further found to have a sophisticated security system and was fortified making entry into the residence extremely difficult.

Davis, 22 years of age from Sierra Vista was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Jail on the following charges:

Possession of a Dangerous Drug
Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale
Transportation of a Dangerous Drug for Sale
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (5 Counts)
Use of an Electronic Device during a Drug Offense

Grant, 32 years of age from Sierra Vista was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Jail on the following charges:

Possession of a Dangerous Drug (2 counts)
Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale (2 counts)
Transportation of a Dangerous Drug for Sale
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (12 Counts)
Possession of Marijuana
Use of an Electronic Device during a Drug Offense
Use of a Building to Sell Drugs
