Shots Fired During Circle K Robbery

On April 23, 2018, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Pima County deputies responded to the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road for a report of an armed robbery. When deputies arrived, they discovered that two unknown male suspects had approached the clerk at the register and covered their faces with bandannas. One of them showed the clerk a gun and demanded money. He was then startled by a customer in the back of the store and fired a shot at him. The customer was not injured, and the two suspects left on foot in an unknown direction with cash from the register and a bag of stolen cigarettes.

The first suspect is described as:

• Hispanic or Caucasian, in his 20s to 30s
• Approximately 5’10” and 6’ in height, with an average build
• Last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and gloves

The second suspect is described as:

• Hispanic
• Approximately 5’0” and 5’3” in height, with an average build
• Last seen wearing a black, green, and blue plaid hoodie, a white t-shirt, and gloves

Robbery/Assault detectives have taken over the investigation and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1.
