Lott Sentenced For Murder Of Victim Parked Outside A Home

Charles Lewis Lott III, age 22, was sentenced to 20 years in the Department of Corrections for 2nd Degree Murder in connection to the murder of Allen Price Jr.

On June 17, 2016 officers were called to an apartment complex for a shooting after a security guard found Price with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and head. Price died from his injuries before officers arrived. A day later investigators learned that Price’s girlfriend was at a party across the street from where he was found.

She told officers she had asked Price to take her to a neighborhood where she planned to attend a party. Price was not comfortable leaving his girlfriend at the location and stayed parked outside. According to witnesses, Lott who was at the party, said that he did not want a stranger outside his family member’s home and Price needed to leave. After Price continued to wait outside, Lott was seen angrily pacing with a gun and then walked outside. People inside the home then heard multiple gunshots. Price appeared to have tried to run away by jumping over a fence leading to the apartment complex nearby.
