Did These Russian Social Media Ads Influence Your Vote? [POLL]

Ads created by Russian interests in 2016 election cycle

In his new book, Facts and Fears, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper claims that the Russians decided the 2016 election in favor of President Trump.

“Less than eighty thousand votes in three key states swung the election,” Clapper wrote. “I have no doubt that more votes than that were influenced by the massive effort by the Russians.” That effort included ads on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram.

“The intelligence community did not make any attempt to assess the impact on voter decisions or the outcome of the election. It has neither the authority, the capability, or the resources,” Clapper said in a CNN interview. “But having some understanding, pretty good understanding, of what the Russians did, the massive effort they made on a multidimensional basis to affect the election -it just – to me – defies logic and credulity to suggest they didn’t have huge impact and turn the election towards Donald Trump.”

We grabbed a sampling of 20 ads and their associated metadata introduced by minority members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and ask you if these ads could have turned the election? Take a look at them and let us know:
