On Monday evening, detectives with the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by James Mitchell, age 30, from Sierra Vista for a civil traffic violation at Fry Blvd. and Canyon Drive.
Mitchell ultimately failed to yield, leading detectives on a pursuit throughout the Fry Township area. Mitchell finally came to a stop and was taken into custody. A search incident to arrest led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia.
Mitchell was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Jail on the following charges and is being held on a $10,000 bond;

Endangerment
Resisting Arrest
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 Counts)
Reckless Driving
