On Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a possible child molestation in the Douglas area.
Deputies responded to the residence and met with the homeowners and two children, ages 5 and 11.
The initial information received indicated that one of the adults in the home came into the kitchen and observed inappropriate contact between Ramon Rojas De La Mora and his five year old granddaughter.
The adult advised De La Mora to leave the home immediately and the Sheriff’s Office was contacted.
On Friday June 1, 2018 Mr. Ramon Rojas De La Mora, 63 years of age, from Douglas Arizona was arrested and booked into the Cochise County Jail on charges of Sexual Abuse and Child Molestation. De La Mora remains in custody without bond.
The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office.
