On Thursday, June 21, 2018 at approximately 11:49 a.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies were contacted by employees at Grand Materials, who believed they had discovered human remains at their worksite in Chandler, Arizona.
When deputies arrived at the location, they secured the area and contacted the Homicide Unit to assume the investigation. The Office of the Medical Examiner was asked to respond and
assist. Detectives and Medical Examiner personnel worked to determine the remains that
had been located were in fact human.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detectives have not yet identified the remains
and are asking for the public’s help, seeking information as to who this could be. The
deceased is believed to be a White or Hispanic female, approximately twenty (20) to
forty-five (45) years of age, 5ft 4in to 5ft 6in tall with black hair and wearing a pair of
sweat pants and tank top.
