Arizona City Man For Selling Meth Near Elementary School

A Pinal County man, 37-year-old Marcus Payne, was arrested for selling methamphetamine out of a home located across the street from an elementary school in Arizona City.

Payne’s arrest on Monday ended a two-month investigation. During a search of the home, investigators found a sellable amount of Meth, a scale, drug paraphernalia, a .22 caliber long rifle and ammunition.

Payne was selling drugs just 250 feet away from Toltec Elementary. At the time of his arrest, three children were found inside the home.

Payne is facing numerous drug charges to include: possession and sale of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, the sale of drugs within a school zone and misconduct involving a deadly weapon. Payne will also face child endangerment charges.
