Sierra Vista Offers Wine Tours, Musicals Trips For Adults

The City of Sierra Vista’s lineup of leisure trips for adults includes wine tasting tours to Willcox and Sonoita-Elgin as well as musical shows at the Gaslight Theatre in Tucson.

The Willcox Wine Tasting Tour on Saturday, Aug. 4, will run from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The $65 fee includes a souvenir glass, tastings at three Willcox vineyards, and round trip transportation from the Ethel H. Berger Center. Registration closes on Friday, July 27, or when tickets sell out. Tickets are available at Eventrbrite.com by searching for “Willcox Wine Tasting Tour.” Wine tasting trips are open to ages 21 and up.

On Monday, July 23, registration will open for the St. Martin’s Sonoita AVA New Release Festival Trip on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will sample new and recent releases from a variety of area vineyards, speak with winemakers, and enjoy tours of the Sonoita Vineyards. The $55 fee covers admission, 15 wine tasting tickets, a souvenir glass, and round trip transportation from the Ethel H. Berger Center. The City has added another new twist to its fall leisure trips for adults with outings set for two upcoming musical shows at the Gaslight Theatre in Tucson.

The first show is “The Vampire or: ‘He Loved in Vein’” on Saturday, Oct. 20. The trip departs from the Ethel H. Berger Center at 12:30 p.m. and returns at 7 p.m. The second is “Scrooge a Gaslight Musical” on Saturday, Nov. 17. That trip departs at 6:30 p.m. and returns at 12:30 a.m. The $35 fee for each trip includes admission and round trip transportation.
