Aggravated Assault Suspect Rams Yuma County Deputy Car, Flees

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about whereabouts of an aggravated assault suspect, Raul Tejeda.

On Thursday, July 19, 2018 at approximately 9:29 p.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault in the 400 block of S. May Avenue.

Deputies learned that the suspect forced his way into the victim’s residence threatening to kill her and assaulted her multiple times. The victim was able to escape and called law enforcement. As deputies were arriving the suspect was fleeing the area and purposely collided with the driver side door of a marked YCSO patrol truck.

Tejeda, age 28, from San Luis, AZ is described as a Hispanic male, 6’01” tall, approximately 256 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. The suspect was driving a red, 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing Arizona license plate #FB791P.
