Arnold Named Arizona Board of Regents Executive Director

On Thursday, the Arizona Board of Regents announced the appointment of John Arnold as executive director of the board.

Arnold has served as the board’s interim managing director since May of this year when the former director, Eileen Klein was chosen to replaced State Treasurer Jeff DeWit by Governor Doug Ducey.

The Board’s appointment of Arnold is at will with an annualized salary of $275,000. The appointment is effective upon board approval and execution of a letter of appointment by the board chair and Arnold.

Arnold served as Gov. Jan Brewer’s state budget director. He also served as director of the Arizona School Facilities Board.

Arnold received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and his master’s degrees in accounting and public administration from Brigham Young University.
