On July 27, 2018, shortly after the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Avrum Diaz, 22-year-old Dominic Blount arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Gang Detectives probable cause was developed to arrest Dominic Blount for the murder of Diaz. On August 1, 2018, detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant on Blount for one count of First Degree Murder.
On August 1, 2018, personnel from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Blount at a residence in the 3200 block of South Capri Circle. Blount was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Pima County Jail.
