South Tempe Crepe Bar Owner Stars On “Chopped”

Crepe Bar owner Jeff Kraus

Crepe Bar owner Jeff Kraus earned the opportunity to be on the Food Network show, “Chopped.” The best chefs in the world vie for the opportunity to compete against each other to make the finest meals out of randomly-selected ingredients that often look like they don’t belong in the same dish.

Kraus’ food was judged by Martha Stewart, Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian and famous restaurateur Mark Murphy.

Crepe Bar, located at 7520 S. Rural Rd., has been a Valley leader in farm-to-table, organic cuisine since it opened six years ago. The restaurant has won some of the most coveted local culinary awards and has doubled in size. Kraus looks to open additional concepts in the future.

The Tempe City Council honored Kraus at its Aug. 9 meeting for representing Tempe on the global stage as well as for his work in bringing attention to the Greater Phoenix food scene.
