Fatal Tucson Motorcycle Collision Suspect Identified

Jason Patty, age 42, has been identified as the suspect who fled the scene of the fatal motorcycle collision that occurred on July 29, 2018, in the area of E. Limberlost Dr. and N. Stone Ave.

On July 30, 2018, the female victim, 37-year-old Renee Doty succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.

Tucson Police detectives learned the driver of a black 2004 Mercedes Benz passenger car was traveling northbound on Stone Ave., just north of E. Limberlost Dr., in the curb lane. The driver advised the Mercedes experienced a mechanical malfunction and stalled in the roadway. Ms. Doty was riding on the back of a black 1995 Yamaha motorcycle with Patty. They were also traveling northbound on Stone Ave. in the curb lane, just north of E. Limberlost Dr. when they struck the back of the Mercedes. They were both thrown from the motorcycle and neither were wearing a helmet.

A felony arrest warrant was obtained on Patty for Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Collision (Class 3 felony).
