The NDAA was name after the senator this year despite the fact that he hasn’t been on Capitol Hill since before last Christmas.
Meghan, whose tongue is as sharp as her father’s, tweeted that McSally’s performance was, “disgraceful.”
.@RepMcSally ‘s inability to even mention my father’s name when discussing the bill named in his honor is disgraceful (just as it was with Trump) – I had such higher hopes for the next generation of leadership in my home state. https://t.co/MC1qpDS2na

It’s no secret that Senator McCain and the President don’t see eye to eye on many things, but in this case, we were all unified to give our heroes what they need to keep us safe.

Senator McCain is the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and his leadership and passion for our military this year, and every year, has helped our troops and strengthened our country’s national security.

I’m proud the NDAA is now law & humbled Congress chose to designate it in my name. As Chairman of the Armed Services Cmte, I’ve found high purpose in service of a cause greater than self—the cause of our troops who defend America & all that she stands for. https://t.co/Gco9E57HdC
