A Phoenix Police officer and a suspect are in critical condition after a traffic stop that occurred Thursday night in north Phoenix near Cactus and Cave Creek roads.
According to authorities, the officer, who has been on the force for a year, had attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop. When the driver finally stopped, he shot the officer, who then returned fire.
