Homicide Suspect David Motley Arrested

On Friday, just before 3:00 p.m., David Motley who was considered armed and dangerous after he shot and killed 39-year-old Curtis Reed, was apprehended by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

David was taken into custody in the area of 86th Street and Main Street in Mesa. David had been alluding deputies since Tuesday night when Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to a residence in the area of South 91st Way and East Butternut Drive in Mesa for a man that had been shot.

David was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail for 2nd Degree Murder and misconduct involving weapons.
