Previously Deported Child Sex Offender Arrested By Border Patrol Agents

A male Mexican national with a history of felony sex and spousal abuse convictions was arrested by Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents patrolling near Gadsden, Arizona, on Friday night.

Narcisco Valadez-Velazquez, age 49, was arrested by agents near the levee road, close to County 17th Street. Valadez-Velazquez had just entered the United States illegally from Mexico by crossing the Colorado River.

Valadez-Velazquez said he was headed to Pomona, Calif., to visit family.

Agents learned while processing Valadez-Velazquez that he was convicted for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14-years-old, a felony, in Riverside, Calif., and served three years in prison. He also has a felony conviction for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse.

Valadez was last removed from the United States in 2012. He now faces charges for re-entry after deportation as an aggravated felon.
