Robert Crubaugh, who has been missing since August 5, 2018, was discovered dead in a remote desert area west of Tucson on Wednesday just before noon.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, a Border Patrol helicopter spotted Mr. Crubaugh’s vehicle in a remote area and flagged down a deputy working a Stonegarden Operation in the area. When deputies arrived, they discovered Mr. Crubaugh dead inside the vehicle.
Pima County Sheriff’s Office detectives responded and took over the investigation. This investigation is ongoing
