Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Attempted Murder, Suicide

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted murder and suicide.

On the evening of Sunday October 21, 2018, the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office was advised of a shooting incident in the 6000 block of San Luis Obispo in Douglas.

Upon Deputies arrival, they located a 65 year old female who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen area. They also discovered a deceased 57 year old male inside of the home.

The initial investigation indicates that the two residents appeared to be involved in a verbal altercation prior to the woman reportedly being shot by the man before he shot himself.

The female was transported to a Tucson hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office
