According to Buckeye Police, a man is dead after police were called to the Acacia Crossing neighborhood in regards to a domestic violence report.
According to authorities, at around 5:30 p.m. dispatchers received a call around about a woman fighting with her boyfriend. Dispatchers believed that they heard gunshots.
When officers arrived on scene they were able to get the girlfriend out of the home. However, a woman and two children were also reportedly trapped in the home with the suspect.
Police were able to evacuate the woman and kids out of the home while communicating with the man.
According to Buckeye Police, the man came out of the house and opened fire at officers. Officers returned fire.
