Two MS-13 gang members arrested, one was previously deported

YUMA — Two MS-13 gang members from Honduras were arrested Tuesday by Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents.

The two males, 37 and 19 years old, made illegal entry into the United States near County 9th Street, said an Arizona U.S. Customs and Border Protection Twitter post.

Agents patrolling along the Colorado River apprehended the two together at about 6 p.m. The men were  transported to the Yuma Border Patrol Station for processing.

CBP agents identified both men as MS-13 gang members during processing.

The 37-year-old man was also discovered to have previous criminal convictions for shoplifting and providing false information in Gwinnett County, Ga. He had previously been deported.

The 19-year-old man did not have any previous criminal or immigration history in the United States.

They are both being held for prosecution and possible deportation.
