Tucson Police arrest 34-year-old male for midtown murder

TUCSON — Tucson Police Gang Detectives arrested 34-year-old James Harlen Jones Monday for his involvement in the murder of Ruben Lemon, also 34, who was shot and killed on Tuesday, the afternoon of Tuesday, February 5 at the intersection of North Dodge Boulevard and East Fairmount Street.

Jones was booked into the Pima County Jail on three felony counts, one count each of first degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a vehicle.

Shortly after 2:00 pm  Tuesday, Tucson Police officers were sent to the midtown intersection after area residents called 911 to report the shooting.

Upon arrival officers found Mr. Lemon in the roadway with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tucson Police are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME. Callers may remain anonymous.
