FLORENCE — The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving 52-year-old John VanWezel and his 42-year-old wife Cindy VanWezel.
Pinal County deputies were dispatched to the 3800 Block of North Hohokam Road shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday, just outside of Florence.
A family member reported to the sheriff’s office that there was an argument between a man and his wife. During the argument, the man shot his wife and then shot himself, the police statement said.
