Hereford man, Sierra Vista girlfriend charged with selling meth and heroin

SIERRA VISTA — Ian MacPhail, 29,  and Rebekah Henry, 24,  are in custody after a four-month long investigation of the the sale of methamphetamine and heroin in the Sierra Vista and Nogales areas.

The investigation, which included surveillance and assistance from agents from Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Border Patrol, began when investigators started receiving information indicating that MacPhail, a Hereford resident, was selling large amounts of methamphetamine and heroin in the Sierra Vista area.

Sierra Police learned that Henry, of Sierra Vista, was dating MacPhail and assisting in the transportation of narcotics and dangerous drugs, said a release from the Sierra Vista Police Department.

After executing search warrants, officers found more than 51 grams of heroin and more than 28 grams of methamphetamine in Henry’s possession. Henry was arrested in Nogales on Feb. 12 with the assistance of the Nogales Police Department.

Henry and MacPhail were both booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.

MacPhail and Henry were each indicted Thursday, Feb. 21, by a Cochise County grand jury on felony charges including conspiracy to: possess a dangerous drug for sale, transport a dangerous drug for sale, possess a narcotic drug for sale, and transport a narcotic drug for sale.
