Scottsdale business owner arrested for arson

Scottsdale – A Scottsdale businessman, James Waller, was arrested on Sunday for starting a fire inside his own business, High Desert Rugs and Furnishings.

Waller, age 75, was charged with arson and criminal damage.

On Sunday, at approximately 4:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a strip mall near Pima and Pinnacle Peak roads. Firefighters were able to contain the flames.

According to Scottsdale Police, authorities found that other businesses in the mall along with cars in the parking lot were tagged with spray paint.
