PHOENIX — On Saturday, Phoenix Police came under fire after they responded to reports of shots fired. The incident, which stemmed for a domestic dispute, occurred at the Vaseo apartments near 7th Street and Greenway Parkway.
The unnamed suspect shot at officers before killing two dogs and taking his own life.

The female victim of the domestic violence that sparked the standoff at 7th St and Greenway is safe and uninjured. She is the former girlfriend of the suspect.

The 31 year-old man was in a dispute with his ex-girlfriend. After being assaulted, the woman was able to escape.
