On Thursday, former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer questioned the double standard applied to conservative and progressive women after President Trump tweeted out a picture of Speaker Nancy Pelosi pointing her finger at him. Pelosi was praised by the mainstream media and progressive organizations, while only a few years ago, Brewer was excoriated for pointing her finger at President Obama.

Brewer tweeted, “The news media hails @SpeakerPelosi as a hero for pointing her finger at
@POTUS @realDonaldTrump but when I stood up to @BarackObama I was vilified as rude and racist. Such Hypocrites!”

In January 2012, Brewer was photographed shaking her finger Obama on the tarmac at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in January. According to Brewer, Obama was “a little disturbed about her book,” ‘Scorpions for Breakfast, in which she describes him as “patronizing” during an earlier meeting.

After the 2012 encounter, Brewer explained that she felt Obama was “lecturing” her rather than “speaking with me.”

She then told Obama that her book was “a truth-telling book.”

The truth about the Trump Pelosi exchange is unclear as both sides have offered wildly different versions of event.

On Wednesday, Trump tweeted the picture of Pelosi’s finger pointing taken during a White House meeting with the caption “Nervous Nancy’s unhinged meltdown!”

In response, Pelosi turned the photo into her Twitter cover shot.
