Gilbert couple charged with trafficking $2.7 million in health and beauty products

A Gilbert couple, Zach Robbins and his wife Jie Robbins were arrested on Friday and booked on charges of trafficking stolen property, money laundering and racketeering.

Gilbert Police detectives served the search warrant on the couple’s home in the area of 3100 E Pinto Dr and recovered around $500,000 – $750,000 worth of stolen over the counter health and beauty products.

Zach, age 42 and Jie, age 47 would pay others to shoplift the items from local stores and then resell the merchandise, according to Gilbert Police.

Gilbert Police say they became aware of the operation about three months ago. The investigation revealed that these two suspects have been operating an interstate sales of stolen property for more than four years. They initiated sales through eBay and Amazon store fronts. Zach and Jie Robbins are believed to have taken in more than $2.7 million from online sales.
