Oro Valley Police Identify Victims Of Deadly Three Vehicle Collision

Oro Valley – The Oro Valley Police Department has released the names of the victims of Wednesday’s fatal crash. Caitlin Festerling, age 21 and Paul Garcia, age 22 were killed in the three vehicle collision on Shannon Road.

On Wednesday, November 13, at approximately 3:42 p.m., Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) responded to Shannon Road and Sahuaro Divide for a report of a multi-vehicle collision. When officers arrived on scene they discovered a three vehicle collision involving an Acura Integra, GMC Sierra and a Buick Le Sabre.

Caitlin Festerling, and Paul Garcia were the occupants in the Acura Integra and they were pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver, and sole occupant of the GMC Sierra, was transported with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, and sole occupant of the Buick, refused to go to the hospital.

According tp police, it appears the Acura was northbound Shannon preparing to make a westbound turn onto Sahuaro Divide when it was rear-ended by the Buick Le Sabre. This crash pushed them into the path of the GMC Sierra which was traveling south on Shannon.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
