Tucson Police Investigate Midtown Homicide

The Tucson Police Department is investigating the death of 19-year-old Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi that occurred early Saturday morning.

According to Tucson Police, on November 16, 2019, at 3:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2400 block of N. Loretta Drive. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the front yard of a residence where they located Abdullahi Mohamed Abdullahi with obvious signs of gunshot trauma. First-aid was rendered to the victim; however, he was pronounced deceased on scene shortly after arrival.

Detectives have determined that a house party with juveniles and young adults was taking place when an altercation occurred outside. During the altercation, shots were fired and the victim was struck. Multiple people were outside when the shooting took place. Several witnesses spoke with detectives, but several others left before police arrived.

There are no suspects in custody. Detectives are asking anyone with information to please call 88-CRIME.
