A conservative candidate for Congress in California has erected two enormous billboards urging people in his district to pray for President Donald Trump.  And he is urging donors to make contributions that will allow him to put additional billboards up across the large district.

“There has been no other time in recent history where President Trump needs your prayers more than right now.” says Tim Donnelly in explaining why he used campaign funds to pay for the full color messages that are seen daily by tens of thousands of California commuters.

Donnelly is a former state assemblyman who has been described as Tea Party before there was a Tea Party. He ran against the incumbent Republican congressman Paul Cook in 2018 and is running again now that Cook has announced his retirement. Cook is considered a largely anti-Trump congressman who reportedly bet against Trump winning in 2016. Cook’s hand-picked successor is current state legislator Jay Obernolte. The primary is in early March with ballots going out relatively soon in January.

At this time there is no word if President Trump will be keeping Tim Donnelly in his prayers, but Donnelly was an early supporter of the President back in 2016, so anything is possible, especially for those who believe in the power of prayer.
