Illegal Aliens Call 911, Border Patrol To The Rescue

TUCSON – A 911 call, made on Tuesday night by two illegal aliens in distress west of Nogales sent U.S. Customs and Border Protection assets to the rescue.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the 911 call was received shortly after 10 p.m., by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office. The illegal aliens requested help, stating they had been lost in the desert over a week.

Because the call was routed to the CBP Joint Intelligence and Operations Center, along with GPS coordinates of the lost Mexican nationals, an aircraft from the Air and Marine Operations’ Tucson Air Branch was able to locate them.

Border Patrol agents responded on the ground and the men to be in stable condition and not requiring medical assistance.

Both men face federal immigration charges following their illegal entry into the United States.
