YAVAPAI COUNTY — An unidentified body was discovered at the site of a “days-old” plane crash on ranch lands in Yavapai County on Friday.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), a rancher called YCSO just before 9 a.m. on Friday. He reported that he found “remnants of a plane crash on remote ranch land” just off Flower Pot Road, southeast of the I-17 and Highway 169. According to the rancher, the crash appeared a ‘couple days old.’
Deputies arrived at the site and called out rescue teams to search the area. No additional bodies were located.
The aircraft is a fixed wing single engine type.
