One More Previously Deported Sex Offender Arrested By Border Patrol Agents

TUCSON – The capture of previously deported sex offenders by U.S. Border Patrol agents has become an almost daily occurrence. One of the latest captures occurred near Palominas, when agents apprehended Milton Portilla-Moscoso.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, after his capture, agents conducted a records check on the 46-year-old Portilla-Moscoso, a citizen of Ecuador, and found that he had been convicted of sexual assault by Dallas County, Texas, in 2011.

Portilla-Moscoso was sentenced to eight years of probation and deported to Ecuador. He now faces federal prosecution for immigration violations.

In Fiscal Year 2019, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested 195 illegal aliens with significant criminal histories.
