Man Sentenced To 35 Years For Attempted Murder Of A Tucson Police Officer

On December 13, 2019, Antajuan Carson Jr. to 35 years in prison for the November 13 convictions for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited possessor.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, on March 17, 2019, Carson, who was prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions, fired a handgun multiple times at Officer Alvaro Silva after the officer pulled him over for a traffic violation.

Carson was also on release for a felony conviction at the time.
