
Daylan Thornton has been identified as a person of interest by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation into the remains that were discovered, partially consumed by mountain lions, in Pima Canyon earlier this week.
According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, on January 3, 2020, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies arrested the 21-year-old Thornton for Auto Theft. The vehicle involved in the theft belongs to Steven Mark Brashear, an Oklahoma man last seen near the Tucson Mall in early December. He was reported missing to Oro Valley Police in December 2019.
The Sheriff’s Office advises that the remains have not yet been positively identified.
