Tucson Electric Power Rate Increase Public Comments Sought

On April 1, 2019, Tucson Electric Power Company (“TEP”) filed an application for a rate increase with the Arizona Corporation Commission (“Commission”). Commission Staff and Intervenors have filed separate recommendations. The Commission will issue a Decision regarding the application following consideration of testimony and evidence presented by all parties at an evidentiary hearing, which is set to begin on January 16, 2020.

The Commission will hold Public Comment Meetings in this matter. Individuals wishing to provide oral comments may attend one of the meetings at the following times and location:

January 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

AND

January 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Written public comments may be submitted by mailing a letter referencing Docket No. E-01933A-l9-0028 to Arizona Corporation Commission, Consumer Services Section, 1200 West Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85007, or by submitting comments on the Commission’s website (www.azcc.gov) using “Cases and Open Meetings” and “Make a Public Comment in a Docket.” If you require assistance, you may contact the Consumer Services Section at 602-542-4251 or 1-800-222-7000.

Those wishing to provide telephonic public comment at the January 28, 2020, public comment meeting must call the Hearing Division at 602-542-4250 on or before 4:00 p.m. by Friday, January 24, 2020, and provide the following information:

  1. Name and address.
  2. Whether you are a TEP customer or your interest in the case if you are not a TEP customer.
  3. Whether you support/oppose TEP’s proposed rate increase.
