San Manuel Driver Arrested For Death Of Passenger

PINAL COUNTY – A San Manuel man, Alex Lujan, is in custody after a passenger in his vehicle, Elizabeth Raschke, was killed in a collision.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Department, shortly before 4:00 a.m., on Tuesday, a 911 call came in regarding a traffic collision at W. Webb Dr. and W. Main St. in San Manuel.

A 2014 Nissan Maxima driven by the 42-year-old Lujan collided into the rear of a parked steel utility trailer. Ms. Raschke, age 44, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Lujan was transported to a hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Lujan was arrested and booked into the Pinal County Jail for manslaughter and DUI, and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
