PHOENIX – Democratic candidate Michael Bloomberg appeared before a small but enthusiastic crowd on Saturday. Arizona House of Representatives member Cesar Chavez introduced Bloomberg.
“For a long time the President was the only candidate running a real campaign here in Arizona, but not anymore. We are here now,” Bloomberg told the crowd. “We have a great team full of people ready to fight for Arizona, and unlike other campaigns they are actually from Arizona. So, while all the other candidates are spending time in Iowa and New Hampshire, I am going to the states that will actually decide this election.
The size of the crowd, approximately 1,100 supporters, left the candidate “speechless.”
Bloomberg’s supporters filled Warehouse 215 on 3rd Street near Buckeye Road. A couple hundred people were denied entry due to occupancy limitations.
