PEORIA – A Phoenix man, Robert Miller, has been arrested by Peoria Police on one count of Surreptitious Filming and ten counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. The 52-year-old Miller was arrested in his home on February 12, 2020.
According to Peoria Police, the investigation into Miller’s activity began on the evening of February 10, 2020 after an “extremely aware customer noticed an odd item plugged into an outlet in a massage room of New Serenity Massage / Pain Management Arizona. Miller, a massage therapist, provided massage at two New Serenity Massage / Pain Management Arizona locations, one in Peoria and one in Phoenix.
Police believe that Miller was recording customers before, during and after massages he performed. According to Peoria Police Chief Art Miller, Robert Miller’s behavior would have not surfaced if it was not for the victim coming forward. “I want to thank the observant and brave victim who brought this forward to our department and want to thank our detectives for their hard work investigating such disgusting crimes and quickly taking a true criminal off the streets,” said Chief Miller.
Miller was arrested after a search warrant was served on his residence. According to Peoria Police, during the search, detectives located hundreds of images of child pornography, sex toys that resemble children and videos of customers during their massages.
